Statistics

Last updated on October 26, 2026

Statistics aggregate, on the website, all the data entered in the field — operations, harvests, losses, evaluations — to give an overview of the operation's performance.

As with Documents, this section has no equivalent in the mobile app: the app enters data, the website aggregates and displays it.

Available sections

Overview

A summary view of the whole operation: number of hives, total production, loss rate…

Rankings

Compare your data along three axes:

  • Apiaries — ranked by productivity.
  • Hives — ranked by yield.
  • Stocks — comparison of stocks' genetic performance.

Each row shows a score as a multiple of the average (for example "1.5× average"), with a color code ranging from red (well below) to green (well above). This average is always computed under the same conditions: a hive is only compared to other hives of the same apiary and the same honey flow, a stock only to hives from the operation's other lines — the score reflects relative performance, not an absolute yield.

Averages

Production, loss, and evaluation averages over the periods of your choice.

Losses

Detailed loss analysis: by season, by apiary, by cause.

Refresh

Statistics are not recalculated continuously: they are cached, then recalculated on demand. Click Refresh to re-run the calculation and get the latest figures — the recalculation may take a moment, the page shows its progress and prevents two recalculations from running at once.

A second button, Update periods, regenerates the honey house log's lots from the weighings (useful after correcting weighings or extraction periods after the fact); it does not touch the statistics themselves.

Access

Statistics are accessible from the Statistics menu in the navigation bar, on the website.

Export to Excel or PDF

On the website, most ApiTracer tables — statistics, apiaries, hives, weighings, operations... — offer an export to Excel (XLSX) or PDF format from their selection menu: tick the rows you want (or leave the whole filtered table selected), then choose Export or Export PDF. The file keeps exactly the columns, sort order and filter shown on screen — handy for sharing a record with a third party (advisor, insurer, health inspection) without re-entering data.

How do I track honey production from one season to the next?

Comparing production from one year to the next requires having, for each season, the same data aggregated the same way — by apiary, by hive, or by stock — without having to rebuild tables by hand. In ApiTracer, every net weight assigned at the honey house and every loss or evaluation reported automatically feeds the Overview, Rankings, and Averages sections: just refresh to compare figures from one season to the next.
