Weighing table installation

The connected weighing station (PRO III plan) consists of a table with a stainless steel platform scale, a barcode scanner and a mini-computer that sends the weight of each super straight to your ApiTracer space, with no manual entry at the honey house. This page gathers the physical assembly, the first start-up and the day-to-day connection.

1. Assembling the weighing table​

  1. Fix the "L"-shaped tube using the 2 fixing bolts of one of the table's legs, wherever you want the display screen to be. The small rod on that tube is used to mount the barcode scanner: position it facing where you will present your supers' labels. The screen height is adjustable.
  2. Unpack the scanner and place the round tube on the rod, aligned with where your labelled supers will be presented, then tighten reasonably.
  3. Unpack the mini-computer, loosen the screw on the stainless steel tube at the back, place the assembly at the desired height on the "L" tube, then tighten again.
  4. Connect the connectors (push-pull type), matching the colour code and position (small red dot), then plug in the power supply and switch on the green button.
  5. Secure the table to the floor using 4 screws, at its final location.

2. Starting up the module​

  1. On first power-up, the module asks to connect to a wifi network: select your network (or your phone's connection sharing) and enter the password. Once connected to the internet, the ApiTracer app launches automatically on the module's screen.
  2. If an update is offered at startup, confirm it: it installs within seconds.
  3. If the connection drops for a long time, note your super/weight list or use the module's offline weighing mode (see below) — no weighing is lost.

3. Connecting the app to the station (day to day)​

Once the module is running, connect your ApiTracer session each time you switch it on:

  1. From the mobile app, open your profile (icon in the top right) to display your weighing module connection QR code.
  2. Hold your phone's screen up to the station's scanner: the connection is made without re-entering any credentials.
  3. Once connected, scan and weigh your supers without interruption — the last weighing stays displayed so you can check the weight/super association at a glance.

The station has 3 waterproof quick-access buttons: a short press on the green button opens the weighings list, a short press on the orange button checks the connection, and the red button deletes the last weighing in case of a mistake (a long press on the green or orange button disconnects the station).

If the internet connection drops during a long extraction session, the station can keep weighing in offline mode: weighings are stored locally on the module then imported into your web space once the connection is back, with nothing lost.
