Code info
Last updated on October 26, 2026
Code info lets you scan a hive's or a super's QR code to instantly view its complete history, with no need to search for the matching record in a list.
On the mobile app
- In the Browse tab, select Code info.
- Scan the QR code affixed to the hive or super (or enter the code manually).
- The record is displayed read-only, with the aggregated data for the scanned element.
What the Code info record shows
Unlike entry screens (which record an action), Code info is a view-only screen that aggregates, for the scanned element:
- The history of operations carried out on the hive.
- The extraction periods and the associated production, for a super.
- The honey type entered, where it applies.
It's the fastest way to check, in the field, what has already been recorded for a given hive or super — without opening or changing anything.
How do I quickly look up a hive's history while working at the apiary?
In the field, searching for a hive in a long list to check its history is slower than simply scanning a tag already affixed to the equipment. Identification by code or QR code, common in production beekeeping, makes it possible to link a physical object (hive, super) directly to its digital record with no re-entry. That's the principle behind Code info: a single scan gives access to the element's complete history, faster than a manual search when juggling dozens of hives.
